SUUTOO: Women Make Music
Bio: SUUTOO is a multidisciplinary artist, composer and performer with a focus on world-building, deeply invested in strategies of refusal, emancipation and trickstery. SUUTOO uses sonics, visuals, poetry and performance to play with process and poetics, the undoing and becoming of myth. Her work explores the potential of noise as both material and ethos — as a site for disruption, intimacy, and transformation. All SUUTOO wants to be is free.
Project Description: SUUTOO will use the PRS Women Makes Music grant to support the development and debut of a new live performance, expanding on her forthcoming EP release. The show will feature original instrumentation, spatial sound, and immersive lighting to create a rich, multi-sensory environment. Rooted in SUUTOO’s ongoing exploration of the body, myth, and sonic poetics, the performance will be professionally filmed and documented with the aim of securing future opportunities at international festivals and venues. With this support, SUUTOO is building toward a live experience that channels her distinct world-building practice into something both visceral and transformative.
Short Project Title: SUUTOO – STARFIRE Live Performance
