Hailing from Dolgellau, Wales, Sŵnami bring bring an often-overlooked identity into the fold. After hitting huge milestones with their eponymous debut album (a BBC Maida Vale session, Welsh Language Album Of The Year awards, a Welsh Music Prize nomination and a packed touring schedule) it was time to recoup. The second chapter of Sŵnami’s career is just beginning….
The grant will enable the band to finish their second studio album and to promote their music nationally and globally. Sŵnami have already broken down language barriers with their excellent music and the PRS Foundation grant will further enhance the status of Welsh language music throughout the world.
