SWEAT return back down the dark highway from which they emerged at the beginning of this year with Stay, released as part of their Pink Love World EP impacting on 3rd February.

Stay is another glimpse into the band’s unique sonic world; blending the epic emotion of what could be a country track, with climatic house beats, club synths and lead singer Dante’s intimate vocal, to create the definitive alternative love song. SWEAT say;

“Stay is a twisted country love duet heard through the walls in the club toilet.  There are certain songs that sound good on a car stereo at night, and this is one of them. We tried to ask Cyndi Lauper to sing the backing vocals but we couldn’t get through to her people so our drummer Matt is singing them.”

Stay completes the band’s Pink Love World EP, which will impact on 3rd February released through Meno Records. The EP features ‘90s house meets psych-pop anthem Acid Rainbow, along with a post-disco funk remix of the track by Formation, and recent release PLW VIP, which is propelled by a rolling Bhangra groove, Acid synths, primal drums and backwards guitars.

SWEAT first emerged with the darkly synth-laden Be Complete and the woozy B-Side Tambourine earlier this year and began to solidify their vision. This world is driven by a wild live show, with SWEAT having a collection of sold out headline shows now under their belt, most recently at London’s Moth Club which saw a secret set from Lady Gaga follow their sold out performance. Last month they toured the UK with Hooton Tennis Club and are currently on tour with Hinds. The band have just announced their biggest headline show to date at London’s Corsica Studios on 30th March.
