T Mulla: International Showcase Fund (SXSW 2025)
Biog: T Mulla is a veteran contributor to a sound which runs through the veins of London and epitomises Afro-Caribbean culture in the UK – Afroswing. Having created waves since the tender age of 17 via SoundCloud and YouTube, T was able to help build what would go on to be one of the UK’s most successful genres. The Hackney born and bred artist provides a various of the world’s favourite genres, with hints of Afrobeats, Rap and R&B influencing his sound heavily. His hit song Droptop managed to chart independently, having now amassed over 40 million streams.
T has always described his discography as ‘feel-good music’ and when you watch him on stage it really is nothing short of that. The British Congolese has always had a beautiful way of engaging with a crowd whether it’s a fan favourite hit or an unreleased song. Having toured with the likes of Hardy Caprio, Not3s and Young T & Bugsey, as well as performing at Afronation Portugal in front of 20,000 people, T Mulla has many impactful moments showcasing his music to be proud of. In 2025, almost 10 years into his career, T wants to mark his stamp furthe, pushing his brand on an international level, creating bigger waves into markets such as the US. The International Showcase fund gives him the support to make that happen early into the new year and build on what will be an amazing first show in the US.
