LIMF Academy is a music talent initiative, part of the Liverpool International Music Festival, aimed at improving the skill-set and career opportunities of emerging music creators from Merseyside. Targeted at Merseyside’s emerging music creators aged 13-25, the LIMF Academy offers development activities and opportunities and exposure to new audiences and industry insiders. The award-winning initiative gives new talent exclusive access to activities and insider know how from the music industry. Split across three main strands, the Academy offers:
A year long Elite Development Programme for 3 exceptional young artists, bands or producer/DJ’s (the ‘Most Ready’), which will include an in-depth exclusive masterclass, an intense development programme, one to one development, a specific cash investment in artist activity, a live session with BBC Introducing and creation of professional press assets
Free to attend workshops run by experienced industry professionals covering a variety of music activities such as production, DJing, singing, songwriting
Monthly performance opportunities at events such as the hugely popular Summer Jam along with showcase opportunities to industry producers and national press locally and nationally
