Talent Development Partner 2017: Punch Records

For:

Punch Records Talent Development Programme

PUNCH’s talent development programme supports young and emerging artists working in contemporary Black music genres such as GRIME, UK SOUL & HIP-HOP. PUNCH is providing authentic opportunities for young musicians to unlock their full potential through a unique, joined-up programme of creative and practical artist led projects.

PUNCH’s Project will feature mentoring and boot-camp sessions where young artists receive expert coaching in the latest creative and commercial good practice. This is backed by an exclusive calendar of performance opportunities where industry professionals can see emerging artists perform around the UK.

PUNCH

Originally an independent specialist vinyl retailer, PUNCH RECORDS is today one of the UK’s largest Black music development agencies. PUNCH works nationally and internationally; commissioning emerging artists, producing new work and engaging young people and new audiences. PUNCH’s annual music festival, BASS, has been established for over a decade, and PUNCH is currently working with artists in Suriname, Jamaica, Dominica and Senegal as part of their international music residency programme, HOMELANDS.

PUNCH also develops and delivers award-winning engagement programmes, including MUSIC POTENTIAL and GALLERY 37, working with over 400 young people last year alone.
