SONIG: Talent Development Fund 2017
For:
The Forté Project
The SONIG Youth Music Industry programme utilises the strengths of the music industry in Wales to support the personal, learning and career development needs of young people aged between 8 and 25 in Rhondda Cynon Taff.
Through the support from the PRS for Music Foundation as a Talent Development Partner, The Sonig Youth Music Industry will produce their Forté project, which supports up to ten young people from across five regions in South Wales, all of whom generate original music. The project encompasses responses ranging from Folk, Pop, R&B, Rock, Rap, Electronic and Ska. These young artists, aged 14-25, are all unsigned and require direct support from professionals in the music industry in order for them to advance to the next level. This is encapsulated in our Forté mentorship policy, which provides a bespoke support mechanism for these young artists, as well as year round seminars, workshops and one to one advice sessions.
