British Underground: Talent Development Partner 2019

From SXSW in Austin, TX to the Rio Olympics, British Underground has introduced hundreds of music-makers to the global music scene working alongside the country’s best curators in genres like jazz, folk, rock and grime. We run an established and internationally recognised network of showcase stages that support professional musicians from outside the mainstream music industry who want to take their first steps in new markets. Artists will have a proven and growing career in the UK and they will be ready to perform to international industry audiences and explore, learn from and collaborate with their musical peers. Outcomes include tour and festival bookings, strong media exposure, new industry networks and major business deals. We also aim to raise the international profile of often over-looked UK genres and have been early champions of new scenes like Jazz re:freshed’s new Outernational jazz programme where we produced packed out stages in the USA with Afropunk festival and SXSW and Sim Sao Paolo in Brazil.
