Moving On Music: Talent Development Fund 2020
Moving On Music is Northern Ireland’s leading independent charitable music promoter, specialising in the promotion and development of jazz, classical, traditional, roots, contemporary, experimental and ‘other’ under-represented music. Their focus is on artistic quality and the development of local artists. Moving On Music are the only music touring organisation in NI and have developed Belfast’s only jazz festival. In addition to this they run an Emerging Artist Programme, masterclass and workshop activity, commissioning schemes and have recently launched a new agency and artist development project for NI musicians called “Middle Aisle”.
‘In our first year as a Talent Development Partner, we have been able to increase our support for NI music creators, albeit in different ways than we might have anticipated due to Covid. The funding and the support of the network have been incredibly helpful over the past year as we navigate new ways of supporting musicians and composers.’
