Snape Maltings: Talent Development Fund 2020

Snape Maltings’ specialist field is music, encompassing all disciplines and genres, and collaborating across other art forms. Snape Maltings are unique in working across such a broad spectrum at a consistently high level of excellence in all strands of activity, from education to development to performance.

Based in Suffolk, Snape Maltings offers a year-round programme of world-class performance, and high-quality training and development for professional and pre-professional artists – working to a high quality standard with artists in all genres, from folk to hip hop, classical to contemporary, multi-disciplinary and cross-art form.

2020 – 2021:

For artists and researchers at all stages of their careers to be creative, curious, to play, to make and to experiment.

Snape Maltings’ programme is for artists working in all genres of music at any stage of their career and is open to artists across the UK. All artists need space and support to create new material, continue developing their skills and building their careers. In the past year Residencies have included folk, jazz, classical, opera, music theatre, hip hop, electronic and experimental music. The programme is already extremely diverse, and Snape Maltings are now actively trying to remove barriers to access and to reach more artists from a range of socio-economic backgrounds.
