A leading music development organisation, Urban Development plays an integral role in the growth of urban music in the UK. Combining business acumen with an understanding of youth culture, Urban Development stand at the crossroads where the creativity of underground new music meets the music industry.

Structured artist development programme and bespoke packages of support for emerging artists including A&R guidance and grassroots PR/online promotion, showcasing and mentoring/access to industry contacts.

‘Notwithstanding the onset of COVID-19 and the various lockdowns, with the support of the PRS Foundation and the officers, we were able to regroup, adapt and were supported to develop a high-quality online delivery model for supporting the talent and vocational development of 6 artists through the programme. We committed TDP funding to 6 artists and worked with the UD Flames to develop and produce their Rumours EP featuring 4 new original tracks, including ‘Heavy’ which is being released on Ingrooves on 22 January. The PRS Foundation’s support is invaluable to underpinning our work with emerging artists and supporting their journey towards commercial success and becoming professional creative practitioners.’
