As the national development agency for new music, Sound and Music works with over 40 new composers a year, offering a broad range of opportunities for composers of all backgrounds and career-stage.
With the support of PRS for Music Foundation as a Talent Development Partner, Sound and Music will produce three difference projects, including their Porfolio residency opportunities, targeted at individuals taking their first steps as professional composers. They will also launch The Embedded Residencies, aimed at emerging composers, designed to give them time and space to develop their practice with organisations and ensembles. They will also run a Composer-Curator programme, with 2 cohorts of Composers annually, supporting grassroots event-series, curated and organised by composers.
