EFDSS is the national folk arts development organisation for England – championing the English traditional arts – music, song, dance, storytelling, customs and traditions – as part of the rich and diverse cultural landscape of the UK.
With the support of PRS for Music Foundation as a Talent Development Partner, EFDSS will work with artists at all levels of their career, by providing a triple-tiered year-long programme of opportunities will encourage creative innovation in the English folk genre, including their Open Commission scheme for professional artists to develop a new idea, the programme will also help fund musicians through Seed Funding, as well as encouraging collaboration and co-writing opportunities for songwriters for three day residential courses.
