We are a renowned intimate Grassroots Music Venue in Edinburgh, open every night, hosting an enormous amount of new and exciting live and DJ shows.
We host many emerging touring acts and local musicians, and also world class niche artists for whom our intimate 100 capacity is ideal. We take particular pride in showcasing the best Scottish acts, and also host many artists from further afield. We strive to be a home for excellence, whether or not the musicians have yet gained widespread recognition.
We take risks with our programming, often hosting the acts that we feel have the best long term potential rather than immediate commercial appeal, helping to bridge the gap for emerging musicians to go from from amateur to professional. We are not tied to any one genre, and in our talent development programme we will support musicians working in, but not limited to, Electronic and Experimental music, Alternative and Indie, and Singer/Songwriter.
