TEE: Open Fund for Music Creators
TEE is a poet and multi-instrumentalist with a staggering ability to combine music with verse – diligently walking the tightrope between poetry and rap, his work as TEE is something unique that compares favourably to Dave, Loyle Carner and Kanye.
A DOZEN ROSES – A LOVE STORY is an EP which is centered around the concept of HOME. But not home as a physical space but home as a state of mind and a stage in your life where you feel comfortable being honest, being strong and vulnerable. . A place where you are accepting of yourself, your family and your people, unconditionally. The EP was made to be completely immersive twisted love story, where you find your home – and deal with love, commitment, appreciation and acceptance.
As a young black male these issues, emotions and subjects aren’t usually addressed – whether publicly and privately – so this EP, in its own way, attempts to challenge that belief that strength comes through silent suffering.
The PRS fund will help to go towards to Mix and Master of this project. There will also be an art installation, in conjunction with Liverpool Light Night, that will double up as a release show. The PRS fund will also go towards helping to realize the creative endeavours of that night.
