Tees Music Alliance: Open Fund for Organisations
The Green House – nurturing and growing music making talent
The “Green House” will be a stimulating, activity filled residency – bringing three north east artists together as part of a nurturing, creative programme of music creation, mentoring and music industry advice – culminating in a showcase event at one of the north east’s most iconic music venues, The Georgian Theatre in Stockton-on-Tees.
Planned activities include song writing sessions, advice from music industry experts, mentoring, recording, and photography – delivered at Tees Music Alliance’s purpose-built Green Dragon Studios.
Following the week, each artist will come away with;
:: A plan to develop their music further – including release strategies, royalty collection, getting gigs.
:: Royalty collection advice – including membership of PRS
:: A professionally produced recording of new material.
:: A live video of their performance, filmed in our venue.
:: A professional portfolio of photographs, for use in EPKs.
:: Advice on available development funding – including relevant PRSF funds.
:: Ongoing commitment from Tees Music Alliance’s music development team, to offer continuing advice and mentoring.
Through our efforts elsewhere, there is a good range of talent beginning to show promise. Our team and key contacts fully understand the needs of local music creators – and will sign post them appropriately towards colleagues within the wider music industry at the end of the project. Projects like The Greenhouse are now a meaningful and achievable activity – with successful results being achieved over a matter of days instead of the years it can often take without sustainable investment.
