Nicola LeFanu: The Composers’ Fund
The PRS Foundation Composers’ Fund award will enable the production and release of an album of my orchestral works on the NMC label. It will be Nicola’s first full portrait album for NMC. The CD will feature the BBCSO and the RTE NSO playing four major works, from my 1973 Proms commission ‘The Hidden Landscape’ to the recent dramatic scena ‘The Crimson Bird’ (RPS commission).
Nicola said:
“These days it is a challenge to find opportunities for orchestral performance and commission, especially for someone of my age, so an orchestral album on such a prestigious label will be hugely advantageous for me.”
