The Nest Collective: The Open Fund for Organisations

A talent development programme for emerging, diverse folk music creators. The Nest Collective, founded by folk singer Sam Lee, is a leading force in reinvigorating contemporary and cross cultural folk music in the UK. Our Amplify Programme for Associate Artists enables us to invest in the development of four diverse emerging music creators across a year.

Selected from an open call out by an industry panel, our Associate Artists will enjoy a bespoke programme of performance, promotion and mentoring opportunities and an invitation to take part in a nature immersion residency to support their creative practice.

Each artist will be paired with an industry mentor to suit their needs and ambitions and who will support the development of their own creative project – a new work/recording project/collaboration — with seed funding made possible through the programme. Performance opportunities will include a mini tour of Campfire Club concerts across the UK (London, Bristol, Sheffield) and a slot at our Magpie’s Nest Festival in the summer with selected performances live streamed via our social channels. Nest Collective will also produce and promote across all our channels a high quality performance video of each artist.

We are delighted to have the continued support of PRS Foundation and to help develop the next generation of cross cultural traditional music in the UK. – The Nest Collective
