The Open Fund For Music Creators: Venus Demilo
Venus Demilo are an indie alt-pop four piece based in Liverpool. Their music is a carefully crafted blend of nostalgic pop punk energy, infectious hooks and meticulous production which has won them the support of Spotify, BBC Introducing, Born Music and Indie Music Nation to name a few.
The band consists of writer producers Tom Anderson & Josh Adams and session players Ryan Williams & Jake Worboys. Having originally formed at university in 2014 as Music undergraduates, the band now use Anderson’s recording space in Liverpool’s Parr Street Studios as their base where he has also collaborated with other artists including Spinn, Katy Alex & Slang among others.
The band are in the process of releasing their debut EP ‘The Rest Is Just Noise’. The message is about perseverance and the pursuit of improving your situation, whether that’s in relation to life, love, work or mentality. Later in 2019, with the help of PRS Foundation, they will be heading out on a UK tour in preparation for the release of their next project, ‘Sonder’.
