Catherine Anne Davies: The Writer Producer Fund

From her early roots as a classically-trained flautist, to her current obsession with vintage synthesizers, multi-instrumentalist Catherine Anne Davies has spent the last five years developing her writing and engineering skills in studios and projects across the UK to become one of the most interesting up-and-coming songwriters and producers in the UK.

In tandem with writing and co-producing an award-winning, critically acclaimed debut album as an artist (The Anchoress), over the past five years Catherine has collaborated with and worked alongside a variety of artists including the London Philharmonic to Nitin Sawhney via Ed Harcourt (Paloma Faith), Liam Howe (Marina & the Diamonds) and Paul Statham (Kylie, Dido). She has also co-written with artists outside of the alternative rock genre, including MOBO-nominated singer-songwriter/cellist Ayanna Witter-Johnson and British rapper Riz MC.

Her most recent success took the form of a substantial 5 track songwriting, engineering and production contribution to the Top 20 UK album ‘Spooky Action’ by Paul Draper.
