Hugh Worskett: The Writer Producer Fund

Based at The Dairy Studios in Brixton, Hugh’s creative approach has established him as one of the most exciting young producers and writers in the UK today.

He has used his skills as a multi-instrumentalist, arranger and writer working across a wide range of genres with artists at various stages in their careers, including Crystal Fighters, Will Joseph Cook, Jamie N Commons, Michael Kiwanuka, Rae Morris, Birdy, Leo Stannard, Kawala, Cameron Bloomfield and Clean Bandit collaborator Love Ssega.

Hugh recently produced Will Joseph Cook’s critically acclaimed debut album ‘Sweet Dreamer’ for Atlantic Records following his well received work on Will’s debut EPs ‘You Jump I Run’ and ‘Proof Enough’. His work with Will has amassed over 17 million streams on Spotify, three BBC Radio 1 playlists and an Annie Mac record of the week. Lead tracks from the EPs topped the Hype Machine charts three times, with ‘Message’ topping Spotify’s Global Viral chart.

Hugh’s work on Crystal Fighters’ album ‘Cave Rave’ resulted in numerous Radio 1 playlists and his work on the album ‘Everything Is My Family’ helped them achieve a major advertising sync with VO5.

His productions have received widespread online and print press coverage, multiple ‘Next Hypes’ with Zane Lowe during his BBC Radio 1 tenure and high profile sustained international radio play from the likes of KCRW and Triple J.

Record labels and publishers Hugh has worked with include Interscope/KIDinaKORNER, Warner Music, Sony, Atlantic, Fiction, Polydor, Parlophone, Black Butter, Decca, Mahogany/Marathon, Hometown, PIAS and Kobalt.
