Mark Vallance: The Writer Producer Fund
Mark Vallance is a multi-talented songwriter from Birmingham whose recent cuts include Tom Walker’s lead track “Blessings” on his debut EP and number 1 album “What a time to be Alive” and “Recognise” with Lost Frequencies ft Flynn, which gained a top 10 radio chart position in Summer 2019 in Germany. Mark is currently signed as a writer to independent publisher Phrased Differently.
Mark grew up surrounded by music; his Dad worked as a session bass player and his interest was then sparked from Motown and Soul, listening to great records with amazing songs at their core.
The activity being funded is contributing to the cost of Mark attending writing camps both in the UK and abroad including Berlin and LA. It will also help towards travel costs from Birmingham to London, meaning Mark can say yes to more writing sessions. It will also cover the cost of some recording equipment to enhance the quality of demo’s and increase productivity.Mark started writing over 10 years ago as an artist himself and quickly gained interest from Island, Sony and RCA. He worked closely with Polydor Records and the hit making songwriters at Murlyn in Sweden. It became obvious that Mark’s love of songwriting was stronger than his desire to be an artist himself, though of course his understanding of being the artist is invaluable in writing sessions with artists.
As well as songwriting Mark has a talent for developing up and coming artists and now manages the artist Flynn, who is hotly tipped for success in 2020. He is also involved in mentoring and lecturing that give him a broad base of activities in the modern music business, believing that great songs are always at the heart of success.
