Living Song is bringing together seven amazing artists, including Errollyn Wallen, Shammi Pithia, Amina Gichinga, Joseph Adelakun, Naomi Scarlett, Mohan Dhar and Stefan Vitalis for a collaboration.

Errollyn Wallen, described as the “renaissance woman of contemporary British music” (The Observer), is as respected a singer-songwriter of pop influenced songs as she is a composer of contemporary new music. Communication is at the centre of both worlds: engaging the audience, speaking directly to hearts and minds.

Shammi Pithia is a composer, producer and musician. Together with 5 aspiring young artists, they are commissioned to create a brand new choral work for advanced and massed choir, In association with NewYVC Unite, a massed singing programme based at Stratford Circus, E15. This incredible group of artists with such a wide range of experience and skill will draw from their own backgrounds and strengths to create an inspirational new piece. They will not be tied down by style or origin, but will dream into the future, imagining together a piece with depth and meaning for a wide range of young singers in these times, who face the challenges and celebrations of tomorrows world. The inaugural performance will be part of a singing programme in the summer of 2017.
