UPROAR: The Open Fund for Organisations
Three new commissions for virtuoso instrumental ensemble from award winning Welsh composers Joseph Davies, Carlijn Metselaar and Guto Puw. These will be performed with contemporary classics Gougalon by the multi award winning Korean composer, Unsuk Chin and Impeccable Quake by the Pulitzer Prize winning composer and performance artist Du Yun.
UPROAR came on to the Welsh music scene in 2018 with its first project of 10 new commissions from 10 Welsh composers. Now on its fifth project, the ensemble continues to make a game changing impact for audiences and composers of contemporary classical music in Wales. Within two years of its opening concert, UPROAR has commissioned 27 new works, touring these and contemporary classics to audiences in Wales, England and France.
