I’m a classically trained drummer, composer and percussionist with a prolific career in performance and collaboration. I have built an extensive global touring network over 20 years using my unconventional drum kits to create hypnotic performances.
Thanks to this PRS award,I will forge an album of intricate music using my rare percussion set-up to explore gentleness and femininity within the often heavy context of drumming. Combining electromagnetic anti-radio technology with an acoustic approach to drum-recording, this album will showcase my abilities as a solo composer/performer. Creatively this will result in a piece of work that responds to ‘the now’ and my experience as a queer artist within that.
