VOYA : Open Fund for Music Creators

VOYA

VOYA are Linford Hydes & Eddie Al-Shakarchi. Influenced by the meticulous songwriting, opulent production & emotive vocals of 80s British synthesiser-based pop, their music contrasts dark electronica with stylish new wave. Linford trained in musical theatre at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama; his penchant for performance, combined with a classically trained, yet soulful vocal delivery is integral to the band’s live shows. Eddie is an award-winning producer/multi-instrumentalist that shaped the sound of Boy Azooga’s highly-acclaimed debut album, catapulting the band to international success.

Together they form a uniquely creative duo, blending beautiful vocal performances & musical virtuosity.

UK Tour – VOYA

VOYA will use their Open Fund for Music Creators award to facilitate the shows that promote and celebrate their first release. VOYA will perform a series of shows around the country to promote their debut release alongside musicians and artists that will join the band for support or co-headline shows. VOYA have, so far, self-funded all time-to-create, recording, mixing, mastering, music video and content creation and this help from the PRS Foundation will allow VOYA to maximise the impact of the culmination of their work so far.
