For:

Abi Wade: Radio & Press Promotion for Debut Album

PRSF are supporting Abi Wade‘s debut album release by providing funds to market the release. The album is ambitious with strings, brass, choirs and field recordings expanding Abi‘s work on cello, piano and vocals. Abi has spent a lot of time re-working her live set up to replicate this as much as possible and has also teamed up with renown fashion designers Eley Kishimoto to work on visuals. The PRSF funding will allow the album release campaign to do the release and live show justice by reaching as many people as possible and giving Abi a step up in her career.

Abi is an independent musician who uses experimental techniques on the cello and piano to create music that melds electronica, acoustic and pop music. She has toured the UK & Europe with Patrick Wolf, sold out her debut EP and released music on Love Thy Neighbour, the label set up by Daniel Copeman of Esben & The Witch who also produces her music. She has played shows with the likes of CocoRosie, Polica, Michael Kiwanuka, Other Lives, Deptford Goth and festivals such as End of The Road, The Great Escape and Wilderness. She recorded her debut album at Amazing Grace studios in London with Daniel at the helm again. Typically ambitious, the recordings include an orchestra and various field recordings of diverse sounds such as a fishing boat at sea, a church organ and a tap dancing class.
