Alana Henderson: Women Make Music

Alana is a cellist-singer-songwriter and an independent artist. She released her debut EP Wax & Wane to critical acclaim in 2013 and her career been gathering momentum since. Having established herself as an up-and-coming solo artist performing throughout Europe in 2014/2015, Alana was invited by Irish star Hozier to join him on his worldwide tour throughout 2015 & 2016 as featured cellist, vocalist and occasional support act. This huge worldwide tour gave her a platform to perform in front of appreciative audiences across the globe, also garnering her fans of her own and a faithful following for her solo work.

PRSF are supporting Alana Henderson‘s debut album release by providing funds to promote and market the release. Alana‘s ambitious debut album showcases her unique cello-singing ‘folk-noir’ style and her imaginative songwriting with imagination and finesse. Alana will be releasing a ‘teaser’ music video for the project in Spring 2017, directed by IFTA award-winning Luke McManus. This will coincide with a Northern-Irish tour supporting Dana Masters, collaborative live festival appearances with her brother Jarlath Henderson and a festival showcase at Canadian Music Week in Toronto March 2017). PRSF‘s support with marketing and promotion for the project will ensure that these performances all gather public interest and momentum for Alana‘s official debut album release in summer 2017.
