Anneka: Women Make Music

Anneka is a vocalist, producer and visual artist who has featured on a variety of critically acclaimed albums by the likes of Forest Swords (Tri-Angle), Lone (R&S), Ital Tek and Falty DL (Planet Mu). Her collaborations have achieved worldwide TV syncs as well as international and national radio play. Alongside collaborator Starkey, she wrote and recorded a track live from the legendary Maida Vale studios during a special 2-hour show on BBC Radio 1.

Over the last few years, Anneka has been developing her sound as a solo artist and producer. She has performed her material in the UK, Europe and Russia and received radio play from Mary Anne Hobbs on BBC 6 Music. Anneka’s debut solo EP is due for release in early 2017 and explores her striking combination of harmony-rich vocal arrangements with electronic elements.

The PRS Foundation funding will assist in the marketing, promotion and development of artwork for Anneka’s second EP. As with her first EP, Anneka will be collaborating visually with photographer Will Hartley, as well as directing and editing her music videos.
