Zory Burner: Women Make Music
Peregrina EnChantica is a project-based vocal ensemble, supporting the cause of nature and wildlife conservation, with a special focus on birds, through performances of a dedicated original song-cycle, created by the ensemble’s founder, composer Zory Burner.
As musical ambassadors to the cause, Peregrina EnChantica forms partnerships and makes an artistic contribution into the work of major nature conservation organizations, by performing not only at traditional arts venues, but in the best locations and environment where supporters of the cause meet – nature reserves.
The ensemble has built an impressive track record in very short time. Zory ran a tremendously successful concert series 2015/16 and 2017/18, supporting UK’s National Bird Vote, RSPB’s Skydancer project and Hen Harrier Day events at Rainham Marshes Nature Reserve in London, as well as performing at multiple national and international music festivals and at self-organised lecture-concerts, resulting in expanding the ensemble’s fan base beyond the standard choral reach.
Peregrina EnChantica’s current work will take you on a journey through their 3rd edition concert series, including interactive presentations at the brand new London Wildlife Festival, Walthamstow Wetlands, and at the British Birdwatching Fair, “the birder’s Glastonbury”, in Rutland Water Nature Reserve, featuring prominent conservationists as guest speakers and bringing worlds together through captivating music and inspiring talks. The project also includes recording of selected songs from Zory’s 11-part nature-themed song-cycle, to be promoted via Amazing Tunes/Our Stage platforms.
