Latest advice to SXSW 2020 grantees

Following the official news on 6th March from SXSW that the City of Austin has cancelled SXSW 2020, we have created this page so that International Showcase Fund (ISF) and BBC Music Introducing & PRS Foundation showcasing grantees can familiarise themselves with the latest information available and make informed decisions.

This is an unprecedented situation and we understand it has a major impact on music creators, team members and associated businesses involved.

Funding partners are here to help and will do whatever we can to support our grantees.

At this difficult time, it is important not to jump to conclusions relating to refunds and insurance claims and there are too many variables to offer reliable blanket advice.

PRS Foundation will monitor the situation over the weekend and will liaise with key third parties ahead of an emergency partner meeting on Monday 9th March. This site will be updated following that meeting. In the meantime, we encourage grantees to check refund and insurance policies over the coming days. ISF and BBC Music Introducing Partnership grantees can email becci@prsfoundation.com with urgent and specific enquiries relating to grant support and we will contact grantees collectively early next week. More Coronavirus related advice is included here.

We have put together SXSW 2020 grantee FAQs following our meeting with all ISF and BBC Music Introducing partners (see link below).

Many thanks,

Joe and the PRS Foundation team on behalf of ISF partners.
