RADFEST

SEXBEAT, the east London promoters, successfully applied to PRS for Music Foundation at the start of this year, through the Organisations & Groups scheme, for funding for their new music festival RADFEST. The festival took place in Hackney Downs Studios on Sunday 19th August with a line up that included UK acts Veronica Falls and Eagulls.

“We’re committed to keeping RADFEST at a reasonable price, to encourage people to come hang out for the day, discover great new bands and ensure that every one has a great time,” Stephen from SEXBEAT explained. “Having support from PRSF has helped us to do this while allowing us to keep the quality of the UK bands high.”

This sentiment is at the core of PRSF’s work: enabling organisations and artists to reach new audiences; to get new music created, performed and heard. For RADFEST this meant being able to deliver a programme of the best new talent in an “…exciting underground event.”
