Resonate, a partnership with the Association of British Orchestras and BBC Radio 3, champions outstanding pieces of British orchestral music from the past 25 years and aims to inspire more performances, recordings and broadcasts of these works.
The Resonate database was created to demonstrate the scope and quality of new music already commissioned by UK orchestras and to encourage orchestras to revisit pieces which would strengthen their programming of contemporary repertoire.
The Resonate database is currently updated on an annual basis, following an open submission process. The database will be next refreshed in September 2019, with details on how to nominate a new work to be announced in August 2019.
Orchestras can apply to perform a work not currently listed on the database, if it can be demonstrated that the work fulfils the criteria of the programme.
