2014 is Cambridge Folk Festival’s 50th anniversary and so to celebrate, we will be expanding our programme to include some of the highest profile headline acts the Festival has ever seen alongside some of the freshest new talent and new folk music in the industry, programming at least 50 artists to celebrate 50 years. Highlights include headline acts like Van Morrison, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Afro Celt Sound System, as well as Festival favourites such Loudon Wainwright III , Seth Lakeman, Eddi Reader and Richard Thompson.

Funding from the PRS for Music Foundation is supporting unique collaborations such as Catrin Finch and Seikou Keita, and The Full English.  These collaborations do exactly what we are renowned for: bring traditional and new folk music together in an original context to develop audiences.
