Bdy_Prts: Women Make Music

Bdy_Prts are singer/songwriter duo Jenny Reeve and Jill O’Sullivan, who met while fleeing from an oncoming snowstorm in Perthshire and bonded over a Little Chef apple pie after being towed out of the blizzard by a pheasant farmer, thus cementing a strong friendship and budding writing partnership. Along with drummer/producer Jonny Scott, the band exchange earworm-esque, playful melodic phrases against a backdrop of electric guitars, violins, samplers and synths, and have been continually writing and experimenting with both their unique sound and visual delivery over the past few years. Their sound miraculously transports you to future-pop dimension where hooks, melodies, beats and bleeps collide; and synchronized dance-moves, day-glo outfits and glittery ponchos are definitely the order of the day .

Bdy_Prts have already self-released two well-received singles (IDLU and Cold Shoulder), which garnered support from both radio (BBC 6 Music, Amazing Radio, BBC Radio 1, BBC Scotland, Seattle-based KCRW) and press (Neon Gold, Clash Magazine, The Skinny, The List, Wow247, Ravechild). They were also invited to play T in the Park on the BBC Introducing Stage in 2015 and were notably play-listed on BBC Radio 1 the same year.

Bdy_Prts‘ debut album is due for release in 2017 and will be a body of work that captures the hard work and vision of the band at this pivotal point in their career.
