Known for their attraction to chaos (the trio are becoming infamous for their over-running, set-list-free gigs, destroying organs mid-show and playing impromptu house parties wherever possible), Yak are a psychedelic London three piece who since the end of 2014 have started to garner considerable critical acclaim. NME were moved to describe them thus: “Yak rock like Spiritualized on a monster codeine high!”

To date the band have released two singles on noted US indie Fat Possum, played shows with the likes of The Strokes and Palma Violets and are due to undertake a major UK tour with Peace in the autumn. The band have also started to make their first moves internationally. They played the Best Kept Secret Festival in Holland in June and have been asked to play the Les Inrockuptibles Festival in Paris in November.

Quote:
Thanks to the PRS Foundation, the band will be making their first trip to the US in October of this year. They will attend to CMJ and – hopefully – this will cement their relationship with a major American label. Third Man have just agreed to release the band’s next single on November 13th.
