Oliver Coates

Oliver Coates is an award winning cellist, Artist in Residence at Southbank Centre and winner of the Royal Philharmonic Society Young Artist Award. His debut solo LP Towards the Blessed Islands was released on 12-inch vinyl, CD and download, Monday 9th December on PRAH.

Oliver will be taking up residency in Hong Kong with the Kung Music Workshop; here’s what he had to say:

“I am excited to do things in Hong Kong. I will work and record with Chinese artists in different mediums, interpret a range of new music and develop my enduring performing and recording interests, loving Eliane Radigue, field recordings and local folk song.
