Hatcham Social

London Town-based alternative quartet Hatcham Social are poised to return to the fray with their second album, titled ‘About Girls’, as well as a revamped line-up and a feistily refreshed pop attitude.

The first album, “You Dig The Tunnel, I’ll Hide The Soil” was released on Fierce Panda (UK) and TBD (US) in 2009; it received great praise everywhere and was album of the week/month in most UK publications (Vice, NME, Artrocker).  The second album, ‘About Girls’, is scheduled for release in April 2012.

Jonquil

Jonquil deal in beautiful soul-inflected, expansive pop that defiantly rests on the brainy end of the musical spectrum.  Intially formed by instrumentalist/songwriter Hugo Manuel in an attempt to flesh out what was initially a bedroom recording project, Jonquil have gone on to release 3 albums, including 2012’s Point Of Go.  Having stripped back from 6 members to 4, Jonquil have focused their music into a tighter more direct sound and are producing all the more beautiful music for it.

Fiction

Fiction are Mike Barrett (vocals, keys, drums), James Howard (vocals, guitars, drums), David Miller (vocals, bass) and Nick Barrett (guitars), who coalesce to create what has been described as ‘perfect, anarchic pop’.

The band have recently toured with Warpaint, Klaxons and Metronomy and have recorded live sessions for BBC Radio 1, BBC 6Music, XFM and Diesel Radio.  NME, Dazed and Confused, Tank and Clash have been raving about them and they have also been selected to be photographed by Hedi Slimane and Mick Rock. After signing to Moshi Moshi/Co-Op in November 2011, the band will release their much anticipated debut album in June 2012.
