12 artists supported by PRS Foundation have their albums nominated for the Scottish Album of Year Award

Huge congratulations to the 12 PRS Foundation grantees who have been nominated at The Scottish Album of the Year Award (The SAY Awards) long list.

The nominated albums by PRS Foundation grantees are:

  • “Nova’s Dad” by Bemz – Power Up and ISF
  • “Carry Them With Us” by Brìghde Chaimbeul – PPL Momentum and ISF
  • “Black Is The New Gold” by Brooke Combe – ISF
  • “Inside” Free Love – by PPL Momentum and ISF
  • “Angel Numbers” by Hamish Hawk – PPL Momentum and ISF
  • “Permanent Damage” by Joesef – ISF
  • “Laal” by Kapil Seshasayee – ISF
  • “Soft Like Steel” by LVRA – WMM
  • “Even Days Disolve” by Scott William Urquhart & Constant Follower – ISF and Open Fund for Music Creators (Constant Follower)
  • “Burn The Empire” by The Snuts – ISF
  • “Heavy Heavy” by Young Fathers – Open Fund for Music Creators

20 outstanding Scottish albums make up The SAY Award Longlist for 2023: The winning record will receive a £20,000 prize, as well as the coveted title of Scottish Album of the Year.

From Monday 2 October – Wednesday 4 October 2023 The SAY Award Public Vote | 72-hour public vote will secure one Longlisted album’s place in the Shortlist along with a guaranteed minimum prize of £1,000. The winner will be announced on Thursday 26 October 2023 at The SAY Award Ceremony 2023 at The Albert Halls, Stirling.
