Spiro are a composing and performing four-piece band. Using the folk instrument line up of violin, mandolin, accordion and
acoustic guitar to play driving instrumental music influenced by electronic dance music, minimalism and rock with many of our
pieces composed around traditional english melodies. One of these influences has come full circle with Portishead’s Adrian Utley creating fully electronic versions of two of their pieces.
Signed to Peter Gabriel’s Realworld Records, Spiro have four albums released by them with a vinyl-only release due this year.
The band have gigged extensively both in the UK and internationally including France, Spain, Belgium, Germany, Hungary, Croatia, Denmark and Canada.
