Verity Susman: The Open Fund for Music Creators

Verity Susman is a composer, songwriter and artist based in South East London. Best known as vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter in the alternative rock band Electrelane, in recent years she has established herself as a film soundtrack composer, alongside recording and performing her own music. Her unique blend of experimentalism, emotive songwriting and elaborate psychedelic arrangements has drawn fans around the world. Her debut solo album will feature material from across her solo career to date, including new songs, new recordings and new arrangements. The theme of the album, and its title, is ‘Ruminations’, and the choral, multi-layered use of her voice will be at its heart. It will be mixed by Matthew Simms, guitarist in Wire, and released in autumn 2021.
