Oh Yeah Music Centre: Talent Development Partner
Talent Development at the Oh Yeah Music Centre, Belfast
Oh Yeah is Belfast’s only dedicated music hub, providing an ‘open doors to music’ since 2007. The building is an inclusive, fully accessible and welcoming space for music makers and also for the business of music. We provide the essential resources of rehearsal space, recording studios, training and industry focused programmes, live venue, songwriting rooms and affordable city centre space for music industry tenants. We combine this infrastructure with a series of regular talent and music development programmes from grassroots introductions and workshops to tailored programmes and events aimed at nurturing export ready artists from our regional talent pool across pop, electronic, dance, rock, punk, indie, folk, RnB/Soul, folk and rap genres.
Oh Yeah Music Centre curates and programmes two festivals across wider Belfast including Sound of Belfast and Women’s Work to highlight, promote and create performance opportunity for artists at all stages to new audiences. We also coordinate the annual Northern Ireland Music Prize, an annual one night only live show event in the iconic Ulster Hall celebrating the best album, single, video and emerging artists and musical trailblazers in our region.
