Enola Gay: Open Fund for Music Creators
Enola Gay
After releasing two acclaimed EPs pulling from noise, hip-hop and electronic influences- declared “the breakout band” of Chicago’s Riot Fest sharing the main-stage with Death Grips and Queens of the Stone Age, raucous UK and European tours- Belfast punks Enola Gay certified themselves as one of the hardest working bands. Tough to pigeonhole and harder to ignore, disappointing only those turned away due to tents and stages breaching capacity. Absorbing crowds across Europe and dominating the UK before the release of a debut album, it is no wonder they have been hotly tipped by Iggy Pop and Jehnny Beth.
Enola Gay EP Record & Release
After their second Casement EP landed as No.50 on The Quietus’ Top 100 Releases of the year, Enola Gay are going to cement themselves as the next unique punk voice which with material that will break the boundaries of the genre. The second half of Enola’s Casement was produced by Belfast’s own PRS Techno Act of the Year and Berghain veteran electronic producer Mount Palomar. Their written collaboration Terra Firma earned Enola their first A-List spot on BBC 6Music’s Playlist. It is unfathomable how an entire EP of Enola’s material with Palomar helming the production will sound after their last efforts left presenters such as Steve Lamacq bewildered by the expansion of their sonic capabilities. Maybe it will give a better indication of what what their looming debut album will sound.
