I am Aderyn, I make spiky indie pop music and Im based in mid wales. Since launching the project in 2020 I have had amazing response from the Welsh scene and beyond. In 2022 I won the Welsh Music Prize Triskell Award for best new artist. I have had several songs on the BBC Radio Wales A List for multiple weeks, radio play across BBC Wales and Radio Cymru. Outside of Wales I have been played on BBC Radio 1 future alternative show, and BBC Radio six quite a few times now, and Radio X!
This funding is for a record and release plan that will see me through 2024 and early 2025, and will build a UK wide fan base, achieve national press, and establish myself in new live circuits. This funding will be used to record a four song EP in one of Wales’ top studios, and will also provide funding to hire -for the first time in my career- a professional marketing team including a radio plugger and a PR agency to promote the music. This funding will also be used to expand my touring circuit and travel up north and across England for gigs, growing a fanbase organically!
