Alekxandr: PPL Momentum Accelerator Wales

Alekxandr is an alternative pop artist from Cardiff, releasing music and visuals independently since 2018. His expansive discography contrasts glittering synth pop with striped back balladry, always accompanied by arresting self directed visuals.

Critical support has come from DIY, I-D, NOWNESS and Clash magazine who called him a “starting new talent”. He songs have been selected for “Obsession of the Week” on the Jo Wheily show and placed on the BBC Radio Wales A-List as well as numerous Spotify playlists.

Alekxandr has collaborated with dancers and projections to create an immersive live show in London and this year performed in North America for the first time.

The PPL Momentum Accelerator grant will help fund the creation of Alekxandr’s debut album which he is making in collaboration with PRS Hit Maker Awardee, Gethin Pearson.

“I’m massively grateful to the PRS Foundation for the PPL Momentum Accelerator Funding which is going to help me make the ambitious creation of my life – A DEBUT ALBUM!!”
