Anibal Vidal is a Chilean composer based in London, whose multifaceted career spans concert music, music for media, and multidisciplinary projects.
He draws on his South American heritage and diverse musical influences to produce immersive works characterized by gradual processes of gestural repetition and timbral experimentation.
His creative process embraces the self-discovering nature of his approach to both, traditional and unconventional instruments to create an imaginative sound palette.
Anibal’s works have been performed by numerous ensembles across Europe and UK, including the Ensemble Intercontemporain, Cikada ensemble, Divertimento ensemble, Quatuor Bozzini, the Carice Singers, Synchronos ensemble, RCM Philharmonic, amongst others.
“Triskelion” is the debut album release of Anibal Vidal’s chamber music, showcasing his string writing. The album comprises a collection of pieces that have been crafted in collaboration with the UK-based string quartets, the Alkyona Quartet and Brompton Quartet.
