Radical art-pop sweethearts Beauty Sleep are producer and songwriting duo Cheylene and Ryan aka “the Irish King and Queen of Indie-Pop”. The Derry band are a boojie buffet of the most bewitching synths and bombastic guitars that are guaranteed to make you blush. These partners in crime released their debut album ‘Be Kind’ in 2019 which seen them shortlisted for Best Album at the Northern Irish Music Prize and garner national radio support from BBC Radio One, 6Music, and RTE2fm. Their dreamy soundscapes and dizzying songwriting have drawn comparisons to Tame Impala, Orange Juice and Confidence Man.
Beauty Sleep’s riotous pre-pandemic summer seen them rampage through European festivals such as The Great Escape, Electric Picnic and Other Voices. Invited to SXSW digital in 2021, and SXSW in real life in Texas in 2022 seen Beauty Sleep release two exciting new singles amongst the touring chaos – The lush and personal ‘I Love It Here I Hate It’ and the giddy, guitar soloing, synth wobbling nonsensical anthem ‘Go’ – which was shortlisted for best single at the NI Music Prize 2022.
