Calva Louise: PPL Momentum Music Fund

Recording and promotion for OVER THE THRESHOLD Trilogy

We’re Calva Louise, a British band with multicultural origins which started in London’s underground live scene at the end of 2016.

Driven by the creative vision of Jess on the vocals, guitar and keyboard, with Alizon on bass and Ben on drums, we started supporting artists like Razorlight and Albert Hammond Jr. and played iconic festivals such as Reading & Leeds in England, Rock For People in Czech Republic and SXSW in the United States.

After our latest singles Third Class Citizen, Feast Is Over and Oportunista, and after a successful UK headline tour in May, we started the summer 2023 with a Sold Out London show and various Festivals in the UK, Europe and returning to the United States, to showcase our new songs and play Riot Fest in Chicago on September 15th.

So far we have released two Albums, several singles and EPs, a comic book, a 45-minute hybrid movie and several videos mixing appearances of the band with animated scenes, created by our frontwoman Jess, using software like Blender, After Effects and Unreal Engine.

We’re creating a multidisciplinary music project that link the lyrics of the new songs with the Lore of Calva Louise’s Trilogy main project.

We’re delighted to receive the PPL Momentum Award with the participation of great partners which are helping us to afford the costs of the recording and promotion of our new songs which are part of our Trilogy OVER THE THRESHOLD so we can work with the best team to date.
