CHROMA: PPL Momentum Accelerator
CHROMA is a bi-lingual, alt-rock band from Pontypridd, Wales. Their debut album “Ask For Angela” was released in October 2023 on Alcopop! Records.
Riding high on a run of packed shows at SXSW Festival, FOCUS Wales, Swn Festival, DMZ Peace Train Korea and a run of shows in New Zealand, the band announced their signing to Alcopop! Records last year and were recently hand-picked to support legendary US rockers Foo Fighters at Old Trafford Cricket Ground, Manchester on 15th June 2024 alongside Coutney Barnett. CHROMA are MVT Patrons for 2024, and have a packed year ahead on tour with Loose Articles, and Goldie Lookin’ Chain.
Influenced by the likes of Yeah Yeah Yeah’s and The Gossip, CHROMA have received radio support from BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music, Kerrang! Radio, Radio Wales and BBC Radio Cymru and ongoing support from BBC Introducing.
The PPL Momentum Accelerator Grant, awarded to us by PRS Foundation will help us with the recording of our 2nd album on Alcopop! Records. We’re excited to get started!
