Sound walk and Recording
Laura will be working on new work for vocals and text in a sound walk.
Laura Reid is a composer whose music fuses vocal, instrumental, electronic and field recorded sounds. Laura has performed and presented work at international festivals including: Tête à Tête the Opera Festival; WOMAD; Celtic Connections; New Interfaces for Musical Expression (NIME), and Sound Music and Computing (SMC). Commissions include: Lost and Found (ROH); Sound and Music with Kuljit Bhamra’s Tabla notation; Celestial Bodies for Dorset Moon; Dynamic Dune-scapes (National Trust) sound walk using geo-located software; Fenella Humphreys’ Caprice Project, Gobbledegook Theatre’s Geophonic and Ichthyosaur for CoMA Festival. Compositions performed by The Pavão String Quartet, Kokkorro, and London Sinfonietta.
